She’s Not Smiling; She’s Upside Down
A Group Show of Parallel Dimensions

Lola the Frenchie
In an era of collective psychological confusion, 'togetherness' is an essential tool for navigating the unknown. She's Not Smiling; She's Upside Down features artists whose work is conjured deep in the realm of individual consciousness, while also reaching out for others. Bridging individual realms, these artists seek the structure of reality from an internal source that innately connects them to those on the outside.
Last week I dreamt of a large abandoned apartment. It was parallel to the one in which I live, empty and on the ground floor. One might say dreaming of an empty apartment signifies loneliness or uselessness. With this understanding, I decided to get out of bed, walk downstairs, and fill the vacant space.
I invited a friend to see what I saw, and suddenly the floor grew firm. Another friend and the walls were secure. A couple more; the ceiling solid.
No longer could this space of visions be questioned, for we had organized a realm which was no longer empty, no longer lonely, and no longer useless.
Please join us there on Saturday, July 1st, 3:00pm until late. After party in the garden.
I'll be updating previews of the work throughout the week on Facebook. Stay tuned here!
